Diana Sofia Oliveira

Diana Sofia Oliveira is a choreographic artist and an creative producer, based in London. Parallel to graduating with Bachelor of Arts in Dance Practices at Middlesex University, she has been investigating her professional facets. Diana provides administrative, organisational, and practical support to different organisations that work on heritage and dance education in both Portugal (Instável Choreographic Centre) and the UK (BEEE Creative). Diana also leads and coordinates a variety of collaborative projects. 

 

Choreographically, Diana investigates interdisciplinary projects. Her collaborations include the stage production "Hunt for Satisfaction" (2022) with the set designer Enza Kim and composer He_eul, the immersive performance "Embody Gravity" (2022) with the photographer/fine art artist Ivana Dramissino, and the screen dance work "Antithesis" (2021) with the videographer Luis Santos. Alongside this, she extends her practice to the community. Diana is a creative and improvisation movement facilitator for young and elderly people in institutions such as Unitas Youth Zone, I Can Dance, Dance Umbrella and ArtsDepot. 

 

As a performer Diana currently works with dobladanza and has worked with choreographers such as Russell Maliphant, Beatriz Valentim, Carlos Silva, Joana Castro, Elisabete Magalhães, Félix Lozano, Luis Marrafa, Teresa Noronha Feio e Francesco Sgró, among others.
