Tom Timothy Yugen

Director Assistant and Facilitator

Tom Timothy Yugen, is an emerging pedagogue, currently based in London, conducting research at Middlesex University on the improvement of the emotional intelligence of dancers.

To achieve his goal, Tom developed his own dance technique based on five years of professional ballet training, knowledge of the Martha Graham Technique, Dance Improvisation and twelve years of Karate practice. He believes that the clarity and practicality of martial arts, in combination with the beauty of dance, can create a different way of understanding dance practice.

In order to fully understand the complexity of a movement and its connection with human consciousness, Tom committed himself to Yoga practice. Thanks to his knowledge of emotional processes, gained during the four years of study of different acting techniques at the Private Conservatoire in Slovakia, he combines Yoga and emotional exploration to enhance emotional awareness as well as body flexibility and strength of anyone who loves movement and dance.

Tom Timothy Yugen is passionate about the art and the work with others. He likes challenges that trigger his mind and show new, unknown possibilities of art and life.
